How Often Should We Receive Massages?
With any massage regimen, we recommend once per month for maintenance, and more often for acute issues. With office sessions, regular monthly massage not only provides a great benefit for your employees, but it also facilitates long-term health and well-being.
Do I Need To Tip The Therapist(s)?
We will never solicit your staff or clients for gratuity. However if you’re inspired to add additional gratuity to your invoice you are of course always welcome.

What is Contrast Therapy?
Contrast therapy involves alternating between hot and cold treatments to enhance recovery and overall well-being. It typically includes:

  1. Hot Therapy: Using heat (like a steam room or sauna) to increase blood flow, relax muscles, and ease tension.
  2. Cold Therapy: Applying cold (such as a cold plunge tub) to reduce inflammation, numb soreness, and constrict blood vessels.
Is there a protocol I should follow?
Proper sauna and plunge tub use is important; just like you warm up and prepare your body before a workout, there are a few basic steps you should take to guarantee maximum benefit out of your contrast therapy sessions.

  • Drink a minimum of 8 oz. of water to prepare for an increase in core body temperature.
  • Remove all jewelry. It may cause burning of the skin when exposed to extreme heat.
  • Do not take your phone in the sauna or steam shower! Extreme temperatures may damage electronic devices.
  • Replenish your body with proper hydration and electrolytes post-session.
  • Start in the shower to get anything such as lotion off your body. You may also choose to enjoy the steam while in the shower for about 5 minutes.
  • Then proceed to the cold plunge for about 1-3 minutes.
  • Then go to the sauna for 10-15 minutes.
  • You may do multiple rounds, usually 2-3.
What are your sauna cleaning and sanitation protocols?
Due to the infrared light and cedar wood, our saunas are naturally antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-fungal. All rooms are cleaned and disinfected by the Contrast Studio team after every use.
How cold is the cold plunge?
The water temperature ranges from 49 degrees to 52 degrees.
How does the cold plunge water stay clean?
We have a built-in 2-step water filtration system and non-chlorine-based sanitizer. The Tub has an external strainer to catch any hair, lint, or debris from entering the unit, and a 20-micron filter for extra purification. Adding Oxidizer and Sanitizer ensures the water will stay clear and sanitary. We also check the pH and alkalinity. The high-flow water pump also circulates 100% of the water every 15-25 minutes so there is fresh water for every client.
Do you burn calories in the sauna and lose water weight?
Yes, infrared sauna usage does cause water weight loss. While that water weight will be regained upon rehydration, the calories burned are real! As you relax in the gentle heat of our saunas, your body is hard at work pumping blood, increasing circulation and producing sweat to cool you down. This results in a passive workout and high caloric burn!
Is Contrast Therapy safe for everyone?
While our services provide many health benefits, we do recommend consulting your physician prior to use, especially those with pre-existing health conditions. Do not use while pregnant, intoxicated, or predisposed to bleeding. Those with a fever, insensitivity to heat, or a pacemaker should avoid sauna usage. If you are on prescription medications, sauna usage may also alter the medication’s effect. You will be required to sign a waiver before using the steam shower, cold plunge tub, and sauna.
What is the difference between an infrared sauna and traditional sauna?
Infrared saunas use infrared heaters to directly heat the body from the inside out, rather than heating the surrounding air. This leads to a deeper heat penetration to promote more efficient sweating and detoxification. Due to the deeper penetration, infrared saunas can operate at much lower temperatures for the same or better results.

How Long Are Chair Massages?
Chair Massages usually range from 10-30 minutes, with most people opting for 15-20 minutes of massage. The amount of time provides a nice break in the work day, or a nice treat at an event, without becoming too much of a burden on the day’s schedule. It also gives the therapist plenty of time to get some good work done!
What Can The Therapist Accomplish With Chair Massage?
Our massage therapists have an arsenal of techniques to tackle your toughest knots in your back, neck, shoulders, arms and hands. These areas are our most common complaints and our therapists will dedicate most of their time to these troublesome areas. These short sessions leave people feeling refreshed and at ease, with less tension and more flexibility.

What Should We Wear Or Not Wear To Receive Chair Massage?
Most of the time regular daily office wear works just fine for chair massage, so need to bring a change of clothes! However, tight skirts are not recommended.

What is a couples massage?
A couples massage is a shared experience where two people receive massages at the same time, in the same private room, from two professional therapists. It’s designed to help both of you relax together and strengthen emotional connection through shared calm.
Do we have to be romantic partners?
Not at all. Couples massage is perfect for friends, family members, or anyone who wants to share a peaceful, rejuvenating experience with someone they care about.
Can we choose different types of massage?
Yes. Each person can select their preferred style—Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, or specialty services. Our therapists will tailor each massage to your individual needs while maintaining the shared ambiance.
What should we expect during the session?
You’ll both arrive a few minutes early to discuss preferences and pressure levels. Once the session begins, you’ll relax on separate tables, side by side, in a softly lit room with music and aromatherapy to set the mood for deep tranquility.
What should we wear or bring?
Come as you are—comfortable clothing is ideal. We provide everything you’ll need, including robes, sheets, and oils. Most guests undress to their comfort level; your privacy is always respected.
How do we book a couples massage?
You can book online through our secure booking page or call the spa directly. We recommend scheduling at least a few days in advance to ensure two therapists are available at your preferred time.

What if I fall asleep during my massage?
It’s perfectly fine—and actually a compliment to your therapist! Many guests drift into a light sleep as their body relaxes. Just allow yourself to fully enjoy the rest and peace your body needs.
How do you maintain hygiene and sanitation standards?
Cleanliness is one of our highest priorities. Every room, table, and tool is sanitized after each session. Fresh linens are used for every guest, and all therapists follow strict hygiene protocols to keep you safe.
Can I bring my own oils or products?
Yes, if you have a preferred product or sensitivity. Just let us know ahead of time so we can make sure it’s compatible with our techniques and equipment.
What if something feels uncomfortable during my massage?
Please speak up immediately. Communication helps your therapist adjust pressure, temperature, or positioning to ensure your complete comfort. This is your session—your voice is always welcome.
Can I bring food or drinks into the spa?
We kindly ask that you avoid bringing food. Water and light refreshments are available to keep you hydrated and comfortable throughout your visit.
Are children allowed in the spa?
To preserve the tranquil atmosphere, we ask that guests arrange childcare before their appointment. However, teens aged 16+ are welcome with parental consent.
What if I have allergies or skin sensitivities?
Please let us know before your session begins. We’ll use hypoallergenic products and adjust treatments to ensure your comfort and safety at every step.
Is photography or video recording allowed in the spa?
For the comfort and privacy of all guests, we ask that you limit taking photos or recording inside the spa to the lobby area. Once you've entered the spa areas, please take this time to disconnect and be fully present in your relaxation.
